Job Seekers and Career Changers Workshop

Adults and Teens — Learn about resume basics, methods for targeting resumes to job openings, and the use of action verbs in resume writing. Time for questions and answers will be provided. Presented by Helene Martucci Lamarre, Job Search Advisor, former college career development educator, and author. No registration needed.

Adults — Jerri Lynn Baker lives each day to its fullestó or pretty close. Five years after her 2004 cancer diagnosis, Baker stopped focusing on death and started seeking joy. Hear about and be inspired by her "Freakin 365+1" adventure in which she did something new every day for a year; and learn from her to take joy in the little things. No registration needed.


Wednesday Night Book Group

Adults — Get together with other readers for an interesting discussion. "Underground Railroad" by Colson Whitehead will be discussed. The book for November, "Cuckoo's Calling" by Robert Galbraith, will be available at the Check-Out Desk. Newcomers are welcome any time.
